All of us have taken a ‘Selfie’ at some point, and most of us were not happy with it. Either our hair was out of place or our expression did not represent us well. Very few people are satisfied with pictures of themselves. How you see yourself determines how you act. So act like you have something to offer the world, because you do.
Remember when we used to have gatherings where everyone bought a separate dish and shared with each other? It was called ‘pot luck’. No one told you what to bring, so you brought your favorite dish. Whatever you were good at cooking was added to all the others, and a feast was produced. For some reason there was always a variety of items to choose from without having the same thing.
It’s like that in business. No one person has everything they need to make it in this world, especially as an entrepreneur. We all have areas where we feel inadequate. That’s why we have networking and partnerships to strengthen each other. No person should feel less than or more than. We all bring something different to the table.
Never decide that you don’t deserve to eat because your dish does not look as appetizing as the next persons’. What you have may be exactly what is needed to balance the meal. And it goes both ways.
Someone else may be waiting to be a blessing in your life. What fun is it to have a bunch of knowledge that you share with no one? Once you learn something you should get excited about the possibility of teaching it to others. I cannot recall a time that I shared my knowledge with someone without getting good information or advice from them as well.
We are all in this together and the sooner we learn that, the better this world will be. There are times when I go on-line or reach out to others for something as simple as a key stroke that will get me to the next phase of a project. Although it may be a minor accomplishment for the other person, it can be a major step closer to completing my task. It also shows how much that person cares about me and makes for a deeper friendship or business connection.
So go ahead! Get a group of friends together and have a ‘pot luck’ something. You will be amazed at what each of you brings to the table.
