Success & Inspiration for Entrepreneurs

When is it time to leave a job, business or relationship?  It feels like doors are shutting.  It feels like you can’t figure out how to make it better.  You feel pulled toward something else. 
 
All of those statements make sense.  We’ve all felt them.  So, when those circumstances arise we begin preparations to leave.  However, here’s something to consider- if we leave a situation that is uncomfortable or untenable before we repair what needs to be repaired, guess what will happen?  Yup!  You will repeat the same situation in a new setting.  There may be different people involved but the pattern will be repeated until we take care of what we need to take care of.
 
What are the things we need to do to stop repeating the same pattern over and over again?  Here’s some suggestions:
 
  1. Stop blaming another person or circumstance.
  2. See everyone as doing the best they can with their current understanding
  3. See yourself and your actions with compassion as well.
  4. Forgive the other people and yourself.
  5. If the opportunity arises to talk it out do so without blaming or accusing.
  6. Look at your pattern and see the thoughts behind it.
  7. Change those thoughts to more constructive ones. 
  8. See in your mind’s eye and/or write what you would rather experience going forward.
  9. Practice thoughts of this new experience daily.
  10.  Find everything you can that makes you feel good and focus on it daily.
  11.  Refuse to be defeated by anything.
  12.  Know your own power to create better outcomes for yourself.
 
Be firm that defeat of any kind is not an option.  However, learning and changing are. There is always a new opportunity, another chance, a new beginning.  Life is filled with them. The only time there aren’t is when we don’t believe there are.  In the final analysis it all rests with us, what we think we can have and how we think life is.  Challenge yourself to find new ways to understand yourself and others. To be compassionate toward yourself and others.  Be willing to give yourself and others a break.
 
Notice I put you first in all of these sentences.  Why?  You are the only one living your life.  You are the only one in charge of what happens to you and through you.  You have to come first. If you don’t take care of you, the only choice is to make someone else responsible for you and that will never work.
 
Today, be gentle with yourself and others. Find as much joy as you can.  Notice the small things. Be grateful for everything. Those things alone will change your life.  That’s it.  You can do this.  It works.  Be adamant about creating what you want in your life. You are much more powerful than you have admitted to yourself.
